Relax and enjoy your journey in Bahrain with Drive Safe
Driving in Bahrain is the same as in the U.S. Traffic signs are in both Arabic and English and travelling by road is generally safe although motorists visiting the country may experience some unsafe driving practices. Motorways and major roads in the northern third of Bahrain are four to six lanes wide and well maintained. Roads in villages and older parts of the Capital City Manama and Muharraq are narrow and twisting.
Always drive defensively. Also expect drivers to cut you up, sound their horn, erratic stopping, speeding, and double parking. But do not get aggressive when you encounter this type of driving.
