Country Driving
Country roads are well marked and the vast majority are two lanes. There are white poles with reflectors every thirty to fifty metres. In forest or bushy areas, reflectors hang by pieces of string from branches to keep animals away from the road when traffic is passing at night. Most country roads are cleared of snow very quickly – usually within hours.
Did you know?
During winter months in snow affected areas it is recommended to have special winter tyres fitted to the cars – if a vehicle is involved in a collision in snow and it is not fitted with winter tyres, the driver is automatically considered to be partially at fault
