City Driving
It is usually best to avoid city driving during the morning and evening rush-hours, especially in Dublin as the centre and the main roads leading into the city are often very busy and can be prone to major traffic congestion.
Roads between major cities are usually dual-carriageway or motorway standard. A network of new motorways connects major cities.
N Roads vary in size and quality from efficient modern highways - designated 'N' on road maps - to narrow country lanes.
